I have been a helper most of my life, but have been in the helping profession since 2006. Cognitive behavioural therapy
CBT helps people learn to identify, question and change how their thoughts, attitudes and beliefs relate to the emotional and behavioural reactions that cause them difficulty.

Dialectical behavioural therapy
DBT is a modified form of CBT. Its main goals are to teach people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others.

Motivational interviewing is a counseling method that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior.

I work with clients of all ages, starting from 5 years old and up. I also am considered a generalist, meaning that I have experience with many different client concerns as well as different types of counselling. I do have specializations in the areas of anxiety, depression, stress management, addictions, and working with adolescents. While these are specializations, I am well versed in many other areas and topics.
